Easy or Independent Patient Transfers Reduce Back Strain - New, Improved Anti-slip Coverage!
SafetySure® Pivot Disc by Mobility Transfer Systems - Designed for use by individuals who are able to stand but cannot readily pivot/move their legs. Individuals with good upper body strength can use the Pivot Disc only with already available sturdy & stable handholds, to accomplish independent transfers. Caregiver assistance is required for those individuals with limited or little upper body strength. If the patient cannot use his/her upper extremities a helper will be needed to use this product. This is a great caregiver assistance tool, as it makes transfers easier and reduces their back strain.
Advantages of the SST Pivot Disc; Because of the lightweight and convenient grip handle, the SST Pivot Disc is easy to use and carry. The Pivot Disc is made of high quality polymer plates for ease of motion. The Pivot Disc is also equipped with anti-glide tapes on both sides to prevent slipping on the floor or when the individual is standing on the Pivot Disc. An individual with impaired mobility from paralysis or limited lower body function can use the SafetySure® Pivot Disc (SST Pivot Disc) in a very efficient way, so long as good upper body strength remains, for; - Transfer between a wheelchair and a toilet.
- Transfer between a chair and a wheelchair.
- Transfer between a chair or wheelchair and a bed.
PLEASE NOTE: The movement of the Pivot Disc does not mimic the turning of a "Lazy-Susan". It is designed for controlled turning by the end user's upper body strength and a strong, immobile handhold. Weight applied to disc does not turn it; it is the applied weight being turned that turns it.
Both the top and bottom of the Pivot Disc is covered with a non-slip material that keeps the Pivot Disc securely in place. Weight capacity is 400 lbs. Pivot disc instructions included.
